SYNOPSIS |
|
CHAMELI
Dark clouds loom large over Mumbai's skyline, heralding the onset of a stormy night. In two different parts of the city, two strangers get ready for the night. Aman Kapoor 34 an investment banker, drags himself to a party he has reluctantly thrown. Chameli a woman of the night, readies herself for her hours of business. Both hate the rain.
As the first drop of rain desends from the skies. Aman's level of despair hits rock bottom. He leaves his party only to realise upon reaching home that he has even less to expect at home. As he drives around aimlessly, the unexpected happens. Aman's car stalls in the pouring rain at Flora Fountain. To make matters worse, his mobile dies on him leaving him with no option than to take shelter in the arches of Fountain. A now completely distoriented Aman pulls out a eigarrette and attempts to light it, discovering to his complete frustration, that he has no match. It is here that Aman meets Chameli for the first time. She emerges from the dark shadows of the arches and offers. Aman a lit matchstick. As a shocked Aman recoils back in disgust. Chameli drops the matchstick and goes back to her corner. Aman who has never met a woman like Chameli is stunned.
Their worlds are different. But for one night. Aman is compelled to share this footpath with Chameli till help comes his way or a customer comes hers. Like two enemy soliders on a battlefield both hold their grounds. The only sound breaking their silence, being that on the rain.
It is this rain that brings together these two strangers. On one night. In the lonely archs of Flora Fountain. South Mumbai And sparks off a romance unlike any other Amidst two people who would never have met. Till destiny intervened.
JAB WE MET
When reclusive Aditya (Shahid Kapoor) meets Geet (Kareena Kapoor) On a train he does't know what a roller coaster ride he's in for. For Geet talks non stop attracts friends and trouble in equal measure and treats life like a game. She truly lives life queen sizel As Aditya saves her from one sticky situation she promptly lands into another! As they travel from Mumbai to Bhatinda to Shimla. But every Journey has to end and so does theirs. As they both seek their ultimate destination, the niggling question tantalizes - is this really the end of their journey together or a new beginning?
